GCC Food Pantry And Thrift Shop News

The GCC Food Pantry and Thrift Shop would like to let everyone know that we have begun to collect food items for the upcoming holiday season. Our upcoming sale in the Thrift Shop, we hope, will help us to collect a lot of food for our holiday baskets. The sale, which begins on October 22nd, will work as follows. For each nonperishable food item you bring into the Food Pantry you will receive 10% Off your total purchase in the Thrift Shop. For 1 item it’s 10%, 2 items 20%, 3 items 30%, 4 items 40%, and 5 items will get you 50% Off your purchase. Please help us help families in need in Gilmanton and get yourself and your family a deal at the same time. The sale will run until November 19th.

If you wish to make food donations to the pantry but don’t wish to shop at the Thrift Shop (not sure why you would do that, we have some very awesome stuff in our shop for the whole family) then there are food collection boxes at the Iron Works Market, the Academy Building in the Corners, the Gilmanton School, and the Year Round Library. The GYO will also be having a food drive at its upcoming Jamboree on October 22nd at GYO Field and you can drop off your non-perishable food items there. You may also drop your donations off at the pantry during our regular business hours. We ask that you please do not leave donations outside the door as we have had some issues recently with animals around the building. If you wish to make a monetary donation you can mail it to GCC Food Pantry and Thrift Shop, PO Box 6, Gilmanton IW, NH 03837.

Don’t forget our work day on Saturday, Oct. 22nd starting at 8 am. We still need supplies and folks to help us get some projects done to our building before winter. If you would like to donate supplies or work, please let us know by calling Jane Sisti at 364-6437.

We are located on Route 140 in Gilmanton Iron Works, across from the Iron Works Market. We are open on Monday 9 am - 1 pm, Wednesday 3 pm - 7 pm, and Saturday 10 am - 2 pm. Parking is located in the Gilmanton Community Church parking lot just west of the shop.
