Get Caught Reading” At The Gilmanton Corner Public Library
Submitted By Linda Hudziec
May is “Get Caught Reading” month at the Gilmanton Corner Public
Library. “Get Caught Reading” is a nationwide campaign to remind people of
all ages how much fun it is to read. Launched in 1999 “Get Caught Reading”
was the brainchild of former Congresswoman Pat Schroeder and the Association
of American Publishers. Their aim was to spread the word about the joys of
reading.
The Gilmanton Corner Library hopes to encourage people of all ages to
enjoy books and magazines and to share that pleasure with the young children
in their lives.
Plan a visit to the library with your child to read about the adventures
of Dora, the Explorer, Clifford, the Big Red Dog, Veggie Tales books, with
coloring pages for the children and pick up a free coloring storybook about
the popular pig, Olivia, titled “What Olivia Needs.”
Monday, May 3 begins our summer hours: Mondays and Thursdays, 2:00-8:00;
Tuesdays and Fridays, 2:00-4:00; and Wednesdays, 2:00-6:00. For information
call 267-4200. We look forward to seeing you at the Gilmanton Corner Town
Library!
