Scholarship Fund Town-wide Yard Sale
On Saturday, June 27, from 8am to 2pm, the Gilmanton Community
Church Scholarship Committee will be hosting the 2nd annual town-wide yard
sale. This event is one of the many ways the scholarship committee
raises the funds needed to provide scholarships to its church members and
their families. The scholarships go to those who are members of the
church, or the children of members, who are pursuing a post secondary
education. Last year the committee was able to provide scholarships to
7 young people in the church who were graduating seniors or headed back to
college for subsequent years. It has also been able to provide for
those who have decided later in life to return to school for a career change
or to finish an education that was started many years before and not
finished. You can help the scholarship committee with their
fundraising efforts by: purchasing a map and visiting the many yard
sales in Gilmanton on Saturday, June 27th , by signing up to have your
yard sale put on the map, by having a table at the church site on
Route 107, or by shopping at the committee’s yard sale at the
Gilmanton Community Church on Route 107 in Gilmanton. Maps will
be available for $1 at the church on Route 107 in Gilmanton the day of the
sale. If you would like a table at this yard sale or if you have
any questions regarding the yard sale or the Scholarship Committee please
feel free to contact Judith Price at (603) 267-6692.
