Epsom Food Pantry

Good morning. Well,  another busy few weeks at the Pantry. For the members who are receiving Christmas Baskets, the day is Saturday, December 22nd, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 noon.  I must say the pickup on the Thanksgiving baskets went well and my disclosing, I get a bit cranky when folks sign up and then don’t show. All seemed to work.

Folks at Meadowbrook can stay put as your Christmas baskets. The rest of those requesting baskets will come to the Pantry and be assisted in getting the baskets into their cars.

At this time I want to thank Planet Aid, the Nam Knights of America MC, Scott Elliot, Pat Wilcox, and the First Congregational Church of Pittsfield for the absolutely wonderful donations to our Pantry, thank you so much!

Until next time,

Priscilla

Letter

Dear Epsom Voters,

I am writing to show my support for full day kindergarten.  I am an Epsom resident and a parent of children who attend ECS.   As a member of this community who values education, I believe we should provide access to a full day of learning for students who are of kindergarten age.

A full day of programming will allow students time needed to meet and master grade level expectations and competencies is the areas of math and literacy as well as have increased opportunities to gain necessary social and self regulation skills. The current 2 hours and 50 minutes of kindergarten program is not adequate. Continuing with a half day program will be denying Epsom kindergarten students educational opportunities.

Please show your support for full day kindergarten when you vote in March.

Sincerely,

Stephanie Hanson

Christmas Eve 2018

Your neighbors at the New Rye Church in Epsom, “The Little Church on the Hill” at 289 New Rye Road, welcome you to join us for a traditional Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. on December 24th.

We will hear the Christmas story told in lessons and carols. The church is beautifully decorated in greens and poinsettias. Plan to arrive a little early to get a good seat. We have had to set up extra chairs beside the pews in the past to accommodate everyone.

Our Christmas collection will help the Epsom Food Pantry, as in past years. We will finish the service with the lighting of Christmas candles, one for each person. This will be a warm, welcoming, family environment that will fill you with a glorious Christmas spirit! Come and sing your favorite Christmas carols with us!

For even more Christmas fun, join us Sunday, Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. for an intergenerational pageant – it’s a wonderful take on the Christmas story!
