REMINDER

On Friday night, December 2nd, from 6:00-7:30 pm, the Epsom Bible Church youth group will be holding a kids’ Christmas Mini-Mall at 398 Black Hall Rd. in Epsom.  Children ages 3-11 will be able to shop for their parents, siblings, and other family and friends.  The children will pick out their gifts and wrap them while their parents enjoy refreshments.  All gifts are $1.00.  We hope to see you there for this fun Christmas event!  For more information, please call the church at 736-9354.

The Epsom Public Library is having their annual “Polar Express Event” on Friday, December 9th at 6 pm.  Come decorate cookies, enjoy the Hot Chocolate/Coffee bar courtesy of “White Mountain Coffee,” and watch the movie! On Wednesday, November 30 at 1:30 PM, the Epsom Public Library will be showing the movie, “Hunt for the Wilderpeople.”  Set in the beautiful landscape of New Zealand, this film follows the adventures of a pudgy, unloved, rebellious foster child who is dropped off by New Zealand social services to a new and very remote foster home.  When tragedy strikes and Ricky is to be shipped to yet another foster home, he and his crusty foster uncle go on the run in the bush.  This is a light-hearted adventure comedy that will have you laughing out loud.

Evergreen Lodge #53, Ivy Green Lodge #36 and friends are offering digital photos with Santa on Saturday, December 3rd at the Epsom Public Library from 10:30 am to 1 pm. There will be crafts for the children, cookie decorating, refreshments and a Christmas tree raffle. Plan to join the fun and help with local holiday outreach!

EXIT Reward Realty is now accepting unwrapped new toys for the Toys for Tots program.  You can drop off your toy at either of the EXIT Reward Realty locations: 79 High St. in Pittsfield or 1022 Dover Rd., Unit 6 in Epsom.  We will be accepting toys until December 2, 2016.  Help a child in need this Holiday Season!

Epsom Food Pantry

Well, our rush is almost over.  We have been some busy getting our boxes ready for Thanksgiving. Not only are we working on those but we have had some food drives such as the Boy Scouts of America which bring us many boxes of canned goods, cereal etc.

A group of us, along with Ken, spent a few hours getting things organized. I do not want to forget Sandy Briggs and the folks from Exit Realty who made a wonderful contribution to our Pantry.

We finished the count on the contribution from Election day and it was awesome.

Everyone has been so generous to the Pantry and we appreciate it so much.

A good food Pantry is so important in a community as we have people who so enjoy the extras that we provide. I do hope our Thanksgiving box with a turkey and all the fixings brings joy to their family.

Believe me folks, without the hard work of Ken and our volunteers, it would not be possible.

Until next time,

Priscilla
