Obituaries
Eris Y. Terrill
Eris Y. Terrill, 87, of Black Hall Road, died December 8th at her
home, following a long illness.
She was born Valentine’s Day, 1927, the daughter of Thomas and
Judith (Merrill) Yeaton and she lived in Epsom all her life. She was
the correspondent for both the Concord Monitor and The Suncook
Valley Sun for many years. She was a longtime member of The New Rye
Congregational Church and served as a Deacon and the Ladies Aide
Society. She attended Epsom school and was a 1946 graduate of
Pembroke Academy. She also worked for many years at the Epsom
Central School and was known as the “School Lunch Lady.” She also
was a member of the Elwood Wells American Legion Post Auxillary.
She was the widow of Stephen Lombard, Sr. who died in 1971, and
later of Clarence Terrill who died in 2002. She had a companion,
Edward Wladkowski, whom she traveled extensively with while
belonging to the Family Motor Coach Association, who died in 2013.
Members of her family include three sons, Stephen Lombard Jr. of
Northwood, Thomas Lombard of Graceville, FL, and James Lombard, with
whom she made her home, of Epsom, a daughter Jeannette “Gina” Canney
of Farmington, three step daughters, Linda Terrill of Londonderry,
Sharon Wayman of Loudon, and Deb Brazemore of Concord, and a
stepson, Clarence Terrill, Jr. of Pittsfield, many grandchildren,
great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held January 17th at 11:00 AM in the New
Rye Congregational Church, Epsom. The Rev. James Young, Pastor, will
officiate. Urn burial will take place in the spring in the New Rye
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, send a check made payable to:

John R. Brown, Jr.
John,
78, beloved husband of Ruth (Fossett) Brown died peacefully at home
on Sunday, December 21, 2014.
John was born April 13 1936, the son of John Sr. and Celia (Mason)
Brown.
John was a Master Mechanic and worked for Huckins Chevrolet and
Huckins Oil Co. for 30 years.
John served in the Army National Guard for 8 yrs, Epsom Fire Dept.
as lieutenant: 1960 and 1964, Captain 1965-68, 1972-73, Assistant
Chief: 1969-1971, Epsom Police Dept. (part-time) 1971-1978, and
Selectman 1977.
John was a member of the Corinthian Lodge 32 degree, Valley of
Concord, Valley of Nashua, Bektash Temple and American Legion Post
112.
John leaves behind his wife, Ruth, of 47 years and four children,
Wanda of Loudon, Wendy of CA, Kim of Concord, and Jeffrey of NJ,
fourteen grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren, three
brothers, James of Pittsfield, Kenneth of Epsom, and Ronald of New
Durham.
