Ms. Jan Santosuosso, Special Ed Case Manager preK - 2nd Grade

As a case manager, Jan finds teaching her students in a one-on-one setting is most beneficial. Besides teaching, her job includes conducting academic assessments and writing goals for reading, writing, or mathematics. Communication is important to Jan, she works hard to be sure that teachers and service providers are all “on the same page” when it comes to a child’s educational plan.

Jan holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the NHTI, a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Notre Dame College, and is working on her Master’s Degree in Special Education. Jan owned a day-care center in the 1990s. She also worked as a paraprofessional for several years in the Lakes Region. After receiving her teaching degree, Jan was a classroom teacher at Holy Trinity School in Laconia before coming to ECS ten years ago. Jan serves as President of the Teachers’ Association and is a member of the SAU-wide Learning Circle. She enjoys the challenge of matching her style of teaching to each student’s unique style of learning. Jan says that, “We have a fabulous teaching community, with bright, enthusiastic teachers who put students first.”

Jan lives in Northfield. She has five children and three grandchildren. She likes to read, hike, watch movies, and travel with her family.
