Snowmobile Clubs Makes Big Push To Finish Clearing Trails
Come on out in the woods and enjoy the beautiful New England
foliage while you donate a few hours to a good cause. The Fort
Mountain Trailwinders, Epsom’s local snowmobile club, will be out on
the snowmobile trails on Saturday and Sunday, October 17th and 18th.
Can you spare a couple of hours to help pick up brush, trim limbs or
help to place and set the next four bridges?
The Fort Mountain Trailwinders, Epsom’s local snowmobile club,
has been working all summer to get the trails ready for the upcoming
season. Long hours of clearing debris from last year’s winter
storms, cutting brush and widening the trails have been completed
over the summer. With the help of local fundraising and funding from
the state Grant-in-Aid program, the club has been able to repair or
replace more than 200 feet of bridges out on the trails. We are
looking forward to a fun and safe winter out on the trails.
Trail crews will meet at 1628 Dover Road at 8:00 a.m. on
Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th or you can call Matt
Brown at 736-9975 to arrange another time during the day to meet up
with the crew.
