June is rolling right
along! We have had some wonderful donations of horse related
items: kids books, statues, some great dinosaur models (Jurassic
Park is coming out soon!)
Books $1.00 a bag; a new
delivery of matchbox/hot wheel cars, nice artificial flowers, and
summer picnic related items. Bathing suits are leaving
quickly! Great selection of men’s and boys’ shorts.
We are on Rte 28, next to
Parker’s Family Restaurant in the grey plaza near the Pittsfield

News
Looking for a fun (and
free) evening event that will get your toes tapping and bring a
smile to your face? Come to the Grange Hall tonight,
Wednesday, June 20th, to hear the Ukeladies at 7 p.m. A fun
group of ukelele-playing ladies, they will be playing standards and
hits for everyone’s enjoyment. Refreshments will be provided.
Coloring for/by adults
has been found to be a relaxing and de-stressing activity. The
library is offering this activity on Monday, June 25th at 4 p.m.
Supplies will be included. You don’t even have to color within
the lines, because there are no judges!
Down Cellar Writers will
be meeting on Monday, June 25th at 7 p.m. Facilitated by Mary
Castelli, this group provides a venue for local writers and poets to
bring their work and share it with others.
The Summer Reading
Program, entitled “Libraries Rock!” kicks off next Thursday, the
28th, at 10:30 a.m. with “Messy Art.” Kids can expect a fun
morning which includes rock painting, a volcano, sand painting,
tie-dying t-shirts (bring your own shirt to dye), ice chalk painting
and puzzling with mosaic stickers. What a great way to start
the summer!
The library is exploring
the interest of Chichester residents (and others) in supporting a
Blood Drive in September. Please sign up at the library so
staff knows whether or not to schedule the event.
The three Democratic
candidates for the House of Representatives from Merrimack 20
(Pembroke and Chichester) filed to run in the November election last
week. They are, from left to right, Clint Hanson, Dianne
Schuett, and Dave Doherty.
