The Pittsfield High School Class Of 1966 50th Class Reunion
will be held in the Pittsfield Congregational Church vestry on July
23rd from 3-6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. If you can

On Monday, July 11, join Historical Society members and friends for
the Annual Picnic at Thunder Bridge on Depot Road off Route 28.
Bring your own sandwich and chair. Beverages and desserts will be
provided. The picnic begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Historical Society will be hosting an
Open House at the Museum at 49 Main Street on Sunday, July 17th,
from 2-4 p.m. Two pictorial murals will be “unveiled” and will be
featured at the Open House. Refreshments will be provided.
The Chichester Grange Eat-Out will be on
July 20 at Makris Restaurant. Members are welcome to bring guests.

Please join the Historical Society and the
Heritage Commission on Thursday, July 21st, at 7 p.m. for Steve
Taylor’s presentation on “Poor Houses and Town Farms: The Hard Row
for Paupers.” This program will be held at the Grange Hall, 54 Main

Happy July! Summer is in full swing. Since
it is quite warm, for Tuesday, July 5 through Saturday, July 9th,
all little boy and girl shorts are 25¢ size 0-2.
Girls and Ladies tank tops, 50¢ each. Kids books, for the
Summer Reading Programs $1.00 a bag full (mix in VCR tapes if you
want.) A special group of stuffies has arrived! They are M&M
“people” such as the garden guy; baseball player, flower lady, etc.

Chichester Town Library News
Book Club is scheduled to meet at noon
tomorrow, July 7th.
This Saturday (July 9th), participants of the Summer Reading Program
(SRP) who have signed up will meet at the Chichester Firehouse at
9:30 a.m. for “Pancake Science.” If there is a chef or
scientist in the making, or just a curious youngster, this should be
a tasty and fun session.
Next week on Wednesday (July 13th) at 3:30 p.m., Chichester’s own
Alex Braley will share some magician’s tricks and talk about how to
learn the craft. This is also part of the SRP.
Another fun activity, although not part of the SRP, will be held on
July 11th, at 3:00 p.m.--Clay Dough Fun! It is for all ages
and no sign up is required. The Clay Dough will be furnished.
The Library Trustees will meet on July 11th at 6 p.m. This is
an open meeting and will be followed by a meeting of the Lovers of
the Chichester Library (LOCL) at 7 p.m. The LOCL welcomes any
and all who want to help promote the mission and programs of the
Library.
Mark your calendars for the next, formal Down Under Bookstore sale
on Saturday, July 18th, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. There are always
“new” books to choose from.
