This is the week! Come to the “Organization Fair” sponsored by
Chichester Grange on February 7 at 7 p.m. in the Town/Grange Hall.
Find out about the many clubs, organizations, etc. that meet right
here in Chichester. Pick up some literature and see if there is a
group you would like to join. No pressure, just information.
February 21 is the snow date for this event.
The Chichester Youth Association will be holding their monthly
meeting on Sunday, February 9th, at 6 p.m. in the Grange/Town Hall.
With baseball and softball season right around the corner, please
take this opportunity to stop by a meeting and see what you can do
to help make this a season to remember.
Happy Birthday on February 5 to Darlene Cavanaugh and Brian
Cavanaugh and on February 8 to Cheryl Difronzo.
It is never too early to plan ahead. The CYA is
accepting registrations for T-Ball, Baseball and Softball for this
coming season. If you have a child who will be attending
Kindergarten in the fall, they are eligible to play T-Ball this
spring. This is a great opportunity for the children to get to know
others with whom they will be going to school. Registration forms
are available @ www.chichesteryouth.com. Please take this opportunity to get them in ASAP so that
teams can be organized and equipment purchased.
Plan to celebrate St. Patrick’s day with a dance. Chichester Youth
Association Fundraiser St. Patty’s Dance will be March 22nd at the
Elks Club at 6:30 p.m.
The Bee Hole Beavers Snowmobile Club’s next meeting is Wednesday,
February 19 at 7pm. The meetings are held downstairs at the
Chichester Public Library. Club memberships are available at the
meeting. Please come for the latest news on the trail system and
upcoming event planning.
The upcoming Club trail ride and bonfire event
scheduled for February 8 has been postponed indefinitely. The
general trail conditions just aren’t good enough for a large event.
Hopefully we will have better snow & trails soon. Please check the
website at
www.beeholebeavers.org for
more information.
Out Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News

Ever want to find a piece of china that matched your Mother’s or
Grandmother’s set? We have some odd pieces of: Leigh Potters soup
bowls (large and small, rose pattern) a couple of matching plates;
the California Poppy dishes; a Rorstrand parrot plate I (Japan) a
pretty good set of Albion China; an Oak Hill, Fitchburg, MA wood
potty seat with tray (bunny decal, $25.00) and a very cute almost
complete dinner set of yellow Bucks County dishes with square
dancers, quite interesting.
Our Charitable Giving 2013 included 20 backpacks from the Attic to
local children, crafts and books to a local preschool, and 5
Halloween costumes. Your donations make this possible.
Come see the remodeled building, grey siding, new windows, same

Chichester Town Library News
February 7, 2014
A correction to last week’s submission: The date and time for
“Appetizers and Jokes” is, February 7th at 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.;
however, the day is a Friday, not Saturday. Remember to
bring an appetizer and its corresponding recipe for enjoyment (and
judgment) by all. A prize will be awarded to the winner, which is
selected by the attendees. Jokes are the other half of the
evening’s enjoyment and it is hoped that most attendees have one (or
two?) to tell. In case the weather doesn’t cooperate, a snow date
has been scheduled for February 21st.
Don’t forget the Library’s special Valentine’s Day gift for parents
on February 14th. Children, age 6 & up, can enjoy a popular movie
from 6-8:30 p.m., so that their parents can go out for a romantic
dinner. Adult supervision will be provided. There is a limit to
the number of children who can attend; so, early sign-up at the
Library is necessary.
“Love is in the air,” as romance novels will take center stage at
the Book Sale planned for February 22nd, from 8 a.m.– 1 p.m.
It is reported that these books will help add heat to this cold
weather season.
Up-to-date information and/or reminders often appear on the Library
Face Book page. Please “like” us on Face Book and encourage your
friends to do so, too.
Letter
We invite all of our Chichester neighbors to join us this evening,
Wed, Feb. 5th at 6:00 PM at the school for our public hearing on our
upcoming school budget. This is your opportunity to listen, ask
questions and provide your input on our 2014-2015 budget prior to
our school meeting on Saturday morning, March 10th. See you
tonight!
Respectfully submitted,
Sally Kelly, School Board Chair
