Chichester Grange will be sponsoring an “Organization Fair” on
February 7 at 7 p.m. in the Town/Grange Hall. If you want to know
what is going on in Chichester, this gathering is for you. Come and
hear representatives of the various clubs, organizations, etc. that
meet right here in Chichester. Pick up some literature and see if
there is a group you would like to join. No pressure, just
information. February 21 is the snow date or overflow date for this
event.
The Town Government season is upon us. Soon it will be time to elect
Town and School District officials and committee members. Are you
interested in serving your town in some capacity? Check with someone
at the Town Offices to see what is available and how to sign up.
Some committees are elected and some are appointed. Wouldn’t it be
great to have some choice this year or to know that there is a group
of citizens who are willing to step up to help Chichester run
smoothly?
Chichester Grange meets only once in the months of January and
February. The next meeting will be February 5 at 7 p.m.

Chichester Town Library News
January 23-30, 2014
The pictures accompanying this article are an example of the
photographs hanging in the Chichester Town Library in the exhibit,
“January Blooms.” The public is welcome to come in and view these
delightful reminders from nature that winter will be over sooner
than we think, and a more colorful view of our environment will be
on display. Congratulations and appreciation to the photographers
who are exhibiting and to the Photography Club which made it happen!
Don’t forget to stop by the Library to purchase a raffle ticket(s)
for “Fireside Comfort.”
The family activity of making Valentine’s Day cards
to acknowledge and thank our deployed military personnel and our
local veterans for their service is scheduled for the morning of
Saturday, January 25th. One of the ways in which this is done is by
making valentines for them. If you know of military personnel
currently deployed or of a veteran(s) who would enjoy receiving a
valentine, please provide their names and addresses to the Library
at
[email protected] or by messaging the
Library on Face Book or by mail/phone call before that date.
Story Hour and Crafts for kindergartners and preschoolers will
resume on January 27th at 3 p.m.
The Down Cellar Writers group will also meet on January 27th—at 7
p.m.
Now is the time to hone up on those joke-telling skills to ensure
that laughter reigns supreme when the Library hosts an evening of
Appetizers and Jokes on Saturday, February 7th, at 6:30 p.m. to 8:30
p.m.
Up-to-date information and/or reminders often appear on the Library
Face Book page. Please “like” us on Face Book and encourage your
friends to do so, too.
