Chichester Town Library News
The weather has already had a negative impact on a couple of the
Library’s activities. We do believe, however, that the safety of
our patrons, workers and volunteers is very important. We will try
to post any updates and/or last minute information that impacts
scheduled activities on the Town website and on FaceBook and, if
possible, on WMUR. However, in general, the Library follows the
school closure decision; that is, if the school decides that it is
unsafe for transporting the children and closes, then the Library
will be closed.
With the last holiday used book sale cancelled, you may think you
lost an opportunity to look through and purchase one of the
treasures in the Down Under Section of the Library. That is not the
case! You have access to the “Down Under” section of the Library
during regular Library hours. See Lisa or Kayla for any assistance.
There are still great treasures to find; although, we have
witnessed many puzzles going out the door, as well as books. There
are also the grouping of books all “packaged” to help decorate your
homes/offices.
If you have been waiting to buy a particular book or set of books,
we urge you to take the time to do so soon. As many know, space is
at a premium in the Down Under Section and volunteers will be
reviewing and determining what books are more popular and should
stay, while what books have little demand and could be donated to
other organizations to make more room.
Don’t forget to save January 11th for a presentation by the Pontine
Theatre of “A Winter’s Tale” at the Grange at 1 p.m.
Thanks to those who follow us on FaceBook and particularly to those
who provide feedback. The Town Library belongs to the residents and
we try to respond to that input.
