The Plan NH community Design Charrette for Chichester will take
place on October 17 and 18 at the Grange/Town Hall at 54 Main
Street. “Consider the Possibilities for Chichester’s Historic Main
Street Town Center. There are two times for resident input on
Friday, October 17: 3 -5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. In between the two
sessions there will be a Bring a Dish Pot Luck Supper from 5:15-6:15
p.m. at the Methodist Parish Hall. The final presentation to town
residents by the Plan NH Team will be on Saturday, October 18th at 3

Free Workshop: Chicheter’s Possibilities “Thinking in a Different
Way about Our Community and Its Future” on Saturday, October 18,
from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Chichester Historical Society Museum, 49
Main Street. This free workshop is open to all Chichester residents
and others with an interest in and/or an affection for Chichester.

Chichester Grange will be holding its fall Penny Sale on November
1st at the Grange Hall. Ticket Sales will start at 9 a.m. and
numbers will be drawn starting at 10 a.m. Enjoy a cookie while you
wait for your number to be drawn. This is a chance to start your
Saturday with a little fun. If you haven’t been to a Chichester
Grange Penny Sale before, why not come and see what all the fun is
about?

We have a new request for country and western CDs for a man to take
to his family in Jamaica! Guess they like all types of music.
We need yarn for our volunteer who makes hats for cancer patients in
Rochester. So far, she has made 86 with the goal being 205 for the
winter.
We want to see who reads our article by offering a Special 1/2 Price

EXCEPT winter jackets.

Chichester Massage Celebrates National Massage Therapy
Awareness Week With Eighth Annual Food Drive
National Massage Therapy Awareness Week is designed to raise public
awareness about the benefits of massage and encourages massage
therapists to sponsor events that support their local communities.
Many of our area food pantries are in need of assistance and
Chichester Massage is sponsoring their 8th annual food drive to
celebrate National Massage Therapy Awareness Week Oct. 20-25, 2014.
Urgently needed items include paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning
supplies, canned tuna, soups, pastas/sauces, rice, baking mix,
peanut butter, condiments, healthy cereals, & hygiene items
(toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, bar soap). Fresh produce will
also be accepted.
Chichester Massage will be offering free chair massages on Tuesday
Oct. 21 from 4-7 pm. with a monetary or food donation. Donations
will be accepted throughout the week at our office and those who
donate 5 or more items or $5 or more will receive a coupon for $10
off a massage. All proceeds will go directly to local food
pantries.
This is a great way to help others and reward yourself with a
savings on your next massage. Please help us make this food drive a

Chichester Town Library News
The October Art Exhibit is by Rivkah Valley. Please come in and
enjoy these efforts by a talented Chichester resident.
Preschool story hour is scheduled for every Thursday morning at
10:30 a.m. Parents/caregivers will find this to be an enjoyable
time to share with their youngsters.
The last book sale of the season is scheduled for Saturday October
18th from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Again, thanks to all who support
this effort.
The Lovers of the Chichester Library will meet on Monday, October
20th, at 7 p.m. This group of volunteers helps promote
the mission of the Library in numerous and various ways. This
meeting is open to any resident interested in helping.
Input is being sought from crafters concerning the viability of
starting a club to meet during the daytime. A meeting will be held
on Tuesday, October 21st at 11 a.m. to gather information as to
whether a group can be formed and, if so, when a convenient meeting
time would be. Crafters are invited to bring a project. The
Library will provide refreshments.
Wednesday, October 22nd at 7 p.m. is a free, backyard farming
lecture by Terri Paige on “Building Healthy Soils.”
The Library will host a “Trick and Treat” at the Library on
Wednesday, October 29th, from 6-7:30 p.m. There will only be treats
for those who come to the Library in costume, including candy and a
free book.
The raffle has started for the American Girl doll, Samantha
Parkington, which also includes extra outfits and books related to
Samantha. The winner of the raffle will be selected at a “Samantha
Winter Party,” to be held on December 12th. Holiday cookies and
camaraderie will abound, making all who attend a winner!
