Don’t miss the Grange Penny Sale on Saturday morning, May 18, 10
a.m. at the Grange/Town Hall. A Penny Sale is a cross between a yard
sale and a raffle. A variety of small items will be spread out on
tables. Buy a sheet of tickets and put the numbers on items you
would like to win. There are door prizes as well. Numbers will be
drawn starting at 11:30. Baked goods will be sold for your snacking
pleasure while you wait to see what you will bring home. Proceeds
will benefit the One Pane at a Time Windows project.
Chichester Grange is planning a Memorial Day Observance on May 30,
the traditional Memorial Day. It will be held at the Veterans
Memorial stone in the parking lot of the Grange/Town Hall at 6:30
p.m. In case of rain it will be held inside the Town Hall. Please
give a little time to remembering veterans past and present.
If you admire the daffodils along Main Street, remember to thank a
member of the Heritage Commission.
Using a temporary stoplight to control traffic while the bridge near
the school is being redone is an excellent idea.
Out Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News
Submitted By
Carol Hendee
There have been several articles in local papers about thrift shops,
cleaning out the kitchen and closets, etc. One person said she opted
to donate to a charity instead of doing a yard sale because she
didn’t want to hear comments such as “what is this thing?” or “Wow,
this is hideous.” at her yard sale. She preferred to know the item
did some good by providing money for the homeless and the article
was going to have another life! When you are decluttering the
kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc., remember the Attic supports Baby
Threads of NH, a 501(c)3 non-profit.
If you are giving up on your bread machine, we have a lady who wants
to try it.
Donations accepted when we are open Mon. 8-12, Tues. and Thurs. 8-4;
Wed. 11-4 and Sat. 10-4 on Route 28, at the yellow “Blueberry”
Plaza. Our phone number is 247-7191.
