Keep your eye on Carpenter Park: Logging is winding down and soon
the permit process will begin. This may take some time, so don’t
look for earth moving immediately. The matching grants, which will
supply a large part of the funding for the Carpenter Park Project,
need to be matched with donations from citizens and businesses.
Those wishing to donate money, time, equipment, or materials to the
project are encouraged to visit the donation web page
http://www.webharrison.net/carpenter-park.

Among all our monthly and daily specials is a pretty good thing, the
free box. With a purchase, you can choose from many different
types of magazines, coloring books and puzzle books, odd toys and
who knows what in the free pile. We appreciate our patrons
who drop off the magazines as they end up going to health centers,
nursing homes and just to people who enjoy them.
Thank you to the people who responded to the want of a
card-shuffler! Also, thank you for the donations of pj sleepers and
several onesies. Those are distributed quickly and are always in
need. The roller blades, along with pads are out and one young man
has already mastered roller-blading!
