Carpenter
Park took a hit from Hurricane Sandy with some pine trees, one of
the new picnic tables, and parts of the perimeter trail as
casualties of the storm. The trees will be cleared as soon as
possible. Meanwhile, work continues on the new fields and the new
and old parking lots. In another week or two it will be possible to

Out Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News Submitted By
Carol Hendee
We need your help. Baby Thread volunteers are in the
process of assembling Christmas gift bags. There are some
items we are short on: shampoo and body wash, toothbrushes and
toothpaste, new books and games for children of all ages, new
pillows, large and small fleece blankets, new towels and face
cloths, or a cash donation or gift cards to fund this particular
project.
Last year 776 bags were given out. We expect to exceed
that need this year. If you wish to donate to the Christmas project,
please attach a note to that effect with your donation.
Volunteers from Laconia are coming down periodically to pick up your
generous donations. As more and more people have found the
Attic, we realize the need for inexpensive clothing. We do have
sweaters, jackets, winter hats and socks. We also have a good supply
of material for your holiday craft projects. Please stop
by on Mon. 8-12; Tues. and Thurs. 8-4; Wed. 11-4 and Sat. 10-4 or
call us at 247-7191.
