Breaking News From North Pole, Chichester, NH
The Chichester Police Department received a call from the big man in
the red coat, “Santa,” and well, I guess you would say, he is
starting early to get organized for the big day. He has accepted our
request to be helpers to his organization for another year. It’s
quite an honor, you know, to have Santa call you personally and hire
you for the biggest job of the year.
So... We have applications for assistance at the Town Hall and the
Chichester Police Department. They must be filled out completely so
we get our orders correct for him. They must be turned into the
Chichester Police Department by December 14, 2012. You must be a
Chichester resident. Unfortunately, we have to restrict it to
children eighteen and younger. We try to fill the “needs” category
first and then things in the “want” category. We really have to play
by Santa’s rules.
Those with questions should call the Chichester Police at 798-4911.
Please stop by and get an application for each child and fill it out
completely and return to the Chichester Police Department.
Once again the Chichester food pantry will be handling the food
baskets for Christmas, so please contact Donna Chagnon.
Chichester Thanksgiving Baskets
Once again we will be offering Thanksgiving Baskets to those who
need a little assistance for a very special day, Thanksgiving Day.
If you watch the news at all, you know we all have a great deal to
be thankful for and there are those in this area who still need some
help.
Please be generous and help those whom you know by a phone call,
shoveling a walkway, helping bring in some wood, or calling the
Welfare Office to advise them of a family who needs to have a
special dinner. All Chichester residents are welcome to call me,
Donna Stockman, at 798-3278 and talk with me or leave a message if
I’m not here.
Please especially remember elderly folks who would not think of
asking for help. Call me and give me their name, how many are in the
household, and what their needs may be. We will find the resources.
I continue to receive support from numerous folks in town, and I
can’t express how much I appreciate your help, monetary and
otherwise. Thanks again.

To the voters of Chichester:
Thank you for your vote and for your confidence in our serving you
for the next 2 years in the NH Legislature.
To Brandon Giuda, Brian Seaworth and John McDonnell, we thank you
for your service for the past two years. Each of us knows what a
personal time commitment you made on our behalf in stepping up to
serve.
As we rejoin the legislature, we understand that all of us can never
agree on every issue, but most of us probably do agree on many of
the issues on which we will vote. We agree to always listen and
consider your voice on the issues that are most important to you. We also agree to listen to every voice in the legislature,
regardless of party, to come to what each of us believes is the
correct vote (and we don’t always agree either!)
Please let us know Your thoughts and priorities. Thank you.
Respectfully and humbly yours,
Sally Kelly, Frank Davis and Dianne Schuett

Letter
Chichester Residents:
Thank you for your tremendous support over the last two years and in
the recent election. Because of your strong support, I received the
most votes in Chichester. However, I was faced with a large deficit
in Pembroke that I was unable to overcome, and thus, will not be
representing you in the next two years.
It was an honor to serve as your representative. I put my heart and
soul into my work at the State House and kept my word by, among
other things, writing and passing legislation that strengthened your
civil liberties, reduced government regulations on small businesses,
and increased government transparency and accountability.
Once again, I cannot thank you enough for your support. Every vote
and every supportive comment will not be forgotten.
Respectfully,
Brandon Giuda

Letter To The Editor
Dear Editor:
Chichester’s roads are our town’s most valuable public asset.
Because of some dissatisfaction with the condition of the roads and
the expenses of repair, the town voted in 2005 to establish a Road
Advisory Committee.
The Road Advisory Committee has completed this year’s work assessing
conditions on the town’s 38.3 miles of roads. The ten members of the
committee are preparing a draft report that establishes a plan for
road reconstruction for the years 2013 through 2016 and beyond.
The Committee will be seeking public input on its report and plan at
a meeting that will be held at the Chichester Town Hall beginning at
7:00 pm on Monday, December 3. If you are a Chichester resident and
are concerned about the conditions of roads in town, mark this date
on your calendar. Plan to attend.
A draft version of the Committee’s report will be available at the
Town Hall and on the town’s website in advance of that date. The
Committee looks forward to receiving public input and suggestions.
Doug Hall, Chairman
Chichester Road Advisory Committee
Santa Is Packing Up His Sleigh
The Chichester Police Department and The Chichester Police
Association are currently taking applications for Secret Santa. If
you know of a needy family or a senior citizen in the town of
Chichester who could use a little assistance this holiday season,
please let the Chichester Police Department know by calling
798-4911. We do not want to see any family in need and not receive
some assistance for the holidays. There are still elderly folks who
believe in Santa, so let us know of someone who could use a little
surprise for Christmas. Every year it seems that the demands grow,
and therefore, we are trying to help Santa and get our requests to
him in a timely fashion. I hear that he still has job openings for
elves, to shop and wrap. You know he is getting older and requires
lots of help himself to get the job accomplished.
Closing Day for accepting applications at the Chichester Police
Station will be December 14, 2012. Thank you once more for your
continued support and if you wish to make monetary donations, please
make checks out to the Chichester Police Association.
