March, the month for town government, will soon be here. Are you
registered to vote? At the School District and Town Meetings, as
well as the Town Elections, you need to be on the voter
checklist in order to vote on warrant articles.
Chichester Grange is in need of a membership infusion. In just
two years it has gone from at least fifteen people at every
meeting to “I wonder if we’ll have a quorum (seven members)
tonight?” Many once active members are now too old to drive at
night, climb the stairs to the lodge room, or go out in cold and
slippery weather on a regular basis. Others have moved out of
town or out of state. Chichester Grange needs people, who live
in Chichester or neighboring communities and like to socialize
on a regular basis, to join the Grange and preserve a Chichester
tradition of 120 years standing. Visit the Town website to find
out more about Chichester Grange.
The following
titles have been added to the Adult Non Fiction section of the
Chichester Town Library: The Highly Sensitive Child –
Helping our children thrive when the world overwhelms them –
Elaine N. Aron, Ph.D.; Broke – The plan to restore our trust,
truth, and treasure – Glenn Beck; Dogs Never Lie About Love –
Reflections on the Emotional World of Dogs – Jeffrey M. Masson;
The Grand Design – Stephen Hawking. Stop by and check out one of
these or one of the other many books, DVD’s or magazines
available at the Library.

Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News
Submitted ByCarol Hendee
The Attic now has a new selection of hard cover, paperback and
children’s books. It seems people decided to donate the
books they have read during the “snow days”, which is great for
the Attic and you. Also there are some great cookbooks,
books on plants, books on gardens (they will come) and books on
birds. We also have magazines, free for the taking.
With this chilly weather, you might want to pick up a new
sweater, men’s and women’s, starting at $1.00. We also
have a popcorn popper, for those that do not use a microwave.
We have rags for sale, $.50 a bag. We also received a nice
selection of winter hats for kids.
We have requests for men’s
winter gloves, especially work gloves, and if you have an old
sled or tube that you would like to donate, it would make some
child quite happy this winter. The plow guy has been
great, so stop by Tues. and Thurs. 8-4, Wed. 11-4 and Sat. 10-4
at 345 Suncook Valley Hwy, Chichester.
