Chichester Cub Scout Pack 85 is planning a Family
Fun Hike on Saturday, September 25, 2010. We welcome
and encourage all Chichester boys in grades 1-5 to
come along with their families and see what Scouting
in Chichester is all about! We will meet at the
Carpenter Park playground at 2 p.m. and begin our
hike promptly at 2:15 p.m. Along the way, we will
have awards and recognitions for summer
achievements and other special surprises. So, come
along and enjoy autumn with family and friends.

The Chichester Library now has a Family Pass for the New
Hampshire Historical Society. Since 1823, the NH
Historical Society has been doing the fine work of preserving
the state’s past and telling its rich stories to each
generation. Benefits include: free admission to the Society’s
museum, 15% discount on museum store purchases, free or
discounted admission to lectures, workshops and other special
programs, plus much more. The Library also has 3 other family
passes to Shaker Village, The Planetarium, and the NH Farm

Many thanks to all who braved the heat to participate in the
Joyce (Frangione) Liebl Bone Marrow Drive, held by “Be the
Match” Wednesday 9/1/2010, at the Chichester Safety Building.
The final tally from all potential donors resulted in 87 people
being placed on the registry. Even if you didn’t qualify as a
donor, your willingness to be tested was most appreciated.
Particular thanks to the generous bakers, Dick Pratt and Deb
Seamon (Angel Creations) who provided such delicious
treats, to the Chichester Fire Department, your willingness to

Capital Area Beekeepers Association Presents “How Sweet It Is”
On Friday, September 17, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the Chichester
Grange Hall, Main Street in Chichester, a presentation about the
fascinating life cycle of the honeybee, how honey is made and
how to get started in beekeeping will be held.
If you have
ever thought about becoming a beekeeper or are just interested
in the life of the honeybee and how honey gets to our tables,
you won’t want to miss this! It will be presented by Wendy
Booth, Vice president of the New Hampshire Beekeepers
Association. There will be equipment on display as well as an
observation hive and honey to taste!
