Do you actually know how a law is made? At Old Home
Day, you’ll have an opportunity to check out a display with an
easy-to-understand explanation hosted by our own 3 State Reps:
Schuett, Davis and Kelly. Have an idea for a new law? These are
the people with whom to share your ideas, so stop by and say
“hi.”
Happy Anniversary to Frank and Darlene Cavanaugh on August
19.
It’s not too late to volunteer to help out on Old Home Day
with parking cars, keeping the grounds tidy, and other useful
jobs. Community Service hours will be given for students who are
looking for ways to earn some. Many hands make light work.
Contact Jaan Luikmil at 798-4987 or 545-9087 (cell) if you can
help.
Happy Birthday to Kara Jarvis and to Sandra Millette on
August 21.
Take a picture of your Chichester woodpile and win a cord of
wood. The Chichester Heritage Commission is sponsoring a contest
to be judged at Old Home Day, August 21. Print a picture of your
woodpile and send or give it to Lucille Noel or any other member
of the Heritage Commission. Please include your name and contact
information on the back of the photo. The woodpile must be on
your own property in Chichester. The amount of wood is not
important; character and charm count for something as well. The
pictures will be posted at Old Home Day and judged then. Too
busy to take a photo? Call Lucille at 798-5709 and the Heritage
Commission will take the photo for you.
The Chichester Town Library has several new DVDs for your
borrowing pleasure. Look for: Freaky Friday, Losing Isiah,
Inspector Gadget 2, Saving Shiloh, My Cousin Vinny, Blue Steel,
Rundown, Raise Your Voice, My Boss’s Daughter, Along Came Polly,
and 13 Going on 30.
