The Chichester Historical
Society Museum will be open on Sunday, December 19th, from 2 to 4
p.m. for a holiday open house. Please join us for free refreshments,
a carol sing-along, and lots of interesting exhibits. Our holiday
exhibit is titled “My Favorite Things.” It showcases member
favorites from the museum collection. Put the Open House on your
calendar and join members and friends for a fun afternoon with food,
music, and a look at Chichester’s history. Call Lucille Noel at

Looking for a gift idea? The
Chichester Historical Society has a 2011 Barn Calendar - “The
Other Side” that would be a perfect gift for a barn owner on your
list. Walter Sanborn’s book, “Chichester Articles,” is also
available for sale at the Museum.
Chichester Library
is another place to look for gifts. They have hard cover books for
sale. Some are in large print; all are in excellent condition. There
are also Christmas craft books and youth and children’s books for
sale. Whittle down your Christmas list and support your library as
well.
Registration forms for the Chichester Ski and
Ride Program at Pat’s Peak are available for pick-up at CCS, or you
can visit www.patspeak.com to
register there as well.
The program will be on Fridays,
beginning February 18th, and will offer (5) sessions. There
will be no session the week of February 28-March 4th. Again
this year there will be bussing, leaving CCS on Friday afternoons.

Your Attic Thrift Shop News Submitted by Carol Hendee
Christmas is almost upon us and the shop has been super busy!
Donations are still coming in, like it was spring, and items are
going out, sometimes as fast as they arrive.
Some items we could
use are: buttons (people like older, ornate buttons, so if you’re a
button saver, we can use them), calendars, and still many requests
for blankets & comforters.
As a special sale for our wonderful
customers, Thursday, December 16th and Saturday, December 18th, all
Christmas decorations, including lights, books, cards & ornaments
will be 1/2 price. If an item is already $.25, make that two
for $.25.
Don’t forget our huge sale, Thursday, December
23rd when everything in the store will be 1/2 price. Please
stop in to visit. We’re open Tues. & Thurs. 8-4, Wed. 11-4 and Sat.

Obituaries
Joyce
Marilyn (Frangione) Liebl
Joyce M. Liebl, 56 of Sanbornton died
at her home, Tuesday, November 23, 2010, with her family by her
side, following a long and courageous battle with lymphoma. Joyce
was born in Huntington, Long Island, NY, February 24, 1954, daughter
of Donald and Barbara (Jones) Frangione. She had lived in the
Tilton, Northfield and Sanbornton areas for over 32 years.
Prior
to this time, Joyce had lived in Chichester, and attended elementary
school there, later graduating from Pembroke Academy. She went on to
Mount St. Mary College in Hooksett.
A registered and licensed
dietician, Joyce served an internship at Shadyside Hospital in
Pittsburg, PA. She was employed for nine years as a dietician and
food service director at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in
Boscawen during the 70s and 80s. At the time of her death, Joyce had
been the dietician and food service director with the Gilford School
District for over 25 years.
She was a member of the New
Hampshire and National Dietetic Associations. She was also a member
of the Chichester Grange and DAR. Joyce found great joy in gardening
and watching the hummingbirds at her home. She was a member of the
Congregational Church of Laconia, UCC.
She was predeceased by
her father, Donald Frangione. Her family includes: Her husband of
32 years, Mark G. Liebl of Sanbornton; a daughter, Andrea L.
Liebl of Tampa, FL; a son, Christopher M. Liebl of Sanbornton; her
mother, Barbara (Jones) Frangione of Chichester; a sister, Donna
Scribner of Concord; two brothers, Paul Frangione of Westtown, NY,
and Thomas Frangione of Barnstead.
Services were held Wednesday,
December 1st at the Congregational Church of Laconia, UCC. Burial
will be at a later date.
Joyce’s family requests that donations
be made in Joyce’s name to either the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Donor Services, P. O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA, 01202 or to the
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor,
Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
