April is National Poetry
Month!
In honor of National Poetry Month, Oscar Foss Memorial Library will be
hosting a Blackout Poetry Contest! Blackout poetry is created by
redacting words from book pages, newspapers or magazines to create a
poem out of the words that remain. Entries will be accepted at the
library from April 18th through April 23rd. Poetry will be on
display for the remainder of the month for voting, and a winner will be
selected on April 30th.
Bad Art Night!
Teens! Head down to the library on April 21st at 6pm and wow us with
your terrible art skills! Completed works of hideous art will be
displayed in the meeting room for voting, with a winner selected to hang
in a place of honor in the library YA section. The most awesomely
horrible masterpiece with the most creative description wins! Materials
will be provided and creations can be in any medium you choose. Please

Barnstead Elementary School Second Trimester Honor Roll List
The following students in Grades 4-8 at the Barnstead Elementary School
have earned HIGH HONORS or HONORS for the Second Trimester.
Students who have received A’s in all of their subjects qualify for HIGH
HONORS. Those students who have earned A’s and B’s in all of their
subjects qualify for HONORS. In addition, students qualifying for
HIGH HONORS and HONORS must have received grades in effort and conduct
that are average or above.
