Gubernatorial Candidate Andrew Hemingway To Be Guest Speaker At
Barnstead-Alton-Gilmanton Republican Committee (Barc’g) Meeting On
Wednesday, February 19
The
Barnstead-Alton-Gilmanton Republican Committee (BARC’G) has announced
that their next monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 19
(note the change of date) at 6:30 pm at J.J. Goodwin’s Restaurant
(upstairs dining room), 769 Suncook Valley Highway (Rt 28), in Center
Barnstead.
This month
the Committee’s focus will be on three different elections – Sen. Joe
Kenney’s Executive Council District One election on March 11 (Alton is
part of District 1, while Barnstead and Gilmanton are not), the
town-wide elections on March 11, and this November’s gubernatorial
election. The guest speaker this month is the recently
announced Republican gubernatorial candidate, Andrew Hemingway.
Hemingway, who is challenging Gov. Hassan, will share his thoughts
about the race, why he’s decided to run against her, his position on the
various issues, and the support he needs from the voters to be
successful.
BARC’G
meetings are open to Republicans and like-minded Independents from
Alton, Barnstead, and Gilmanton, and any other towns in New Hampshire.
The meetings offer a great opportunity to meet new people or to renew
old friendships while at the same time discussing the Republican Party’s
renewed focus on grass roots politics and party unity.
Per their
usual meeting format, if you’re interested in having dinner (at your
option) or wish to socialize before the meeting, plan to arrive as early
as 5:30pm.
With
renewed emphasis on assisting those who are having a difficult time
making ends meet due to the cold and snowy winter, and an economy that
is still attempting to recover, the Committee asks that each attendee
bring non-perishable food items (cans of soup, tuna fish, etc, etc) to
the meeting for distribution to local food pantries.
