Avery
Happy 10th
Birthday
It’s hard
to believe that you would be 10 years old. My goodness, I remember when
you’d stand in front of me to see how big you were. We still have the
marks on the wall where we measured you.
We still
haven’t moved your things. I think they bring a small bit of comfort.
Daddy tries so hard to keep busy because he misses you so much. All he
wants is his little man.
On your
birthday, March 16, we went to the cross and remembered the short time
you were here and how much joy you gave us.
Avery,
you’re always in our hearts.
Love,
Grammy

Master Plan 2013 Public Opinion Survey
Barnstead’s
Master Plan Committee in conjunction with the Survey Center of the
University of New Hampshire is asking the public to fill out a Public
Opinion Survey that will help determine the town’s needs for the next
ten years. The information collected from this survey will be used to
determine what’s important to the residents of Barnstead. It only takes
about 10 minutes to complete, and covers a broad range of topics,
including land use, development, government services, taxation and
expenditures. The opinions, preferences and information gathered from
the survey will help in recommending policies and priorities for the
future of Barnstead. The surveys will be mailed to town residents
beginning March 4. Please return your completed survey in the
self-addressed postage paid envelope as soon as possible. The results
will be published in later this year, followed by a discussion at a
public meeting.
If you are
interested in becoming part of the Master Plan Committee feel free to
attend a meeting on a one-time basis, or consider becoming a member. We
welcome your ideas, comments and participation. The Master Plan
Committee meets every second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the
Barnstead Parade Fire Station. For more information, contact the Master
Plan committee leader, David Brown, email

Nighthawk
Seniors News
Submitted
By Beverly A. Goodrich, Secretary
The
Nighthawk Seniors of Barnstead met at the Barnstead Town Hall on March
6, 2013 at 12 noon and enjoyed a delicious corned beef dinner prepared
by members Deb Fedorchak and Pat Duffy. There were 19 members, one guest
and her little dog present. During the meal we enjoyed a wonderful piano
concert presented by Pastor John Fogell from Alton. He played oldies,
hymns, patriotic, and St. Patrick’s Day songs. He is a very accomplished
pianist and his music was loved by all.
The 50/50
raffle was won by Pat Chioccola. At the business meeting, Jerry Conti
was chosen to be our Vice President.
Our next
meeting will be held at the Town Hall on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 12
noon and will be a pot luck lunch. The program will be a Silent Auction,
and all are asked to bring good items for the auction.
We are
welcoming both men and women to join our club. Dues are very affordable
at $4.00 a year. Come join us, you’ll be glad you did!
For more
information, please call President Christine Sanborn at 875-2676.
