Story Hour
Has Begun At Barnstead Library
A reminder that preschool story hour
has begun at the Barnstead Library.
Story hour is every Wednesday at
10:00 am unless there is no school or early dismissal. This is a
volunteer program and every week the children enjoy a story or two, a
special craft and a snack.
We invite all preschoolers and their
caregivers to attend and enjoy a fun-filled hour at the Library.

The Carter
Mountain Brass Band To Perform In Barnstead
The Carter Mountain
Brass Band Will perform at the Barnstead Town Hall on Saturday,
September 17, starting at 6:00 pm.
The Band plays old
fashioned band music and swing music. They will start with the
rousing march ‘El Capitan’ march.
They include such songs as ‘Sing,
Sing, Sing’ and ‘Ding, Dong the Witch is Dead’ and ‘Holiday for
Trombones’. Sounds like Fun! They are out of Gilford, NH.
The
Concert is part of Barnstead’s Summer concert Series, The Barnstead
Historical Society is co-hosting this one and will be serving
refreshments.
The Historical Society’s Raffle drawing will be
held during intermission. There are three prizes.

Barnstead Christian Church News
Mary Poarch will be visiting with the
Center Barnstead Christian Church on Sunday, September 25th, and giving
us an update on her ministry at the New Tribes Missions Homes in
Florida, where she cares for missionaries who have retired from the
mission field.
Previously, Mary served as a missionary to
Indonesia for many years with her husband and four children.
Sunday School for the whole family will begin at 9:00 am, and Morning
Worship to follow at 10:00 am.

County Republican Committee is pleased to announce that Wayne MacDonald,
the NH GOP Chairman, will be the Guest Speaker at their next meeting
scheduled for Wednesday, September 14 at the Shang Hai Restaurant, 331
South Main St., Laconia. Immediately following a short business meeting
beginning at 6:30 pm, Chairman MacDonald will address the Committee,
presenting his plans going forward regarding special elections, fund
raising, and the First in the Nation Presidential Primary currently
scheduled for February 14, 2012. Per the usual meeting format, if you're
