Wendell Calder To Speak At CBCC

This Sunday, November 20th, Dr. Wendell Calder will be speaking at the Center Barnstead Christian Church. Wendell travels around the world preaching the gospel. He speaks at conferences and seminars and on occasion teaches at Word of Life Bible Institute. He is president of Local Church Evangelism which helps support national pastors and builds churches in India.

The purpose and driving force behind this ministry is first and foremost to bring glory and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Joan and Wendell have a home in Newport, Maine where they reside when they are not traveling. Wendell will also be speaking Friday and Saturday at a Prison Fellowship weekend seminar in the Concord State Prison. Come and hear what Dr. Calder has to share from God’s Word this Sunday. Sunday School begins at 9:00 am and Morning Worship follows at 10:00 am.

The Center Barnstead Christian Church is located on Route 126, next to the Town Hall. For more information, please call the church at 269-8831.

Letter To The Editor

On behalf of the Belknap Mill Society Board of Trustees, I am writing to publicly thank all those who supported the Historic Belknap for our recent 188th Anniversary Celebration on November 4, 2011.

We had a great turn-out for our fundraising event with ticket sales up almost ten percent over last year. We thank those who purchased tickets and attended the event and also thank the many local businesses who supported our efforts by donating food, services and gift certificates.

We appreciate the restaurants who provided a wide variety of great food. These include: Contigiani’s Catering Service, Fratello’s, Giuseppe’s Pizzeria, Hart’s Turkey Farm Restaurant, Kevin’s Café, Laconia Village Bakery, O Steaks & Seafood, Patrick’s Pub & Eatery, T-Bones/Cactus Jack’s, and Woodshed Roasting Company.

We also would like to recognize those who donated items for our silent auction: Awakenings Espresso Café, Curt’s Caterers, Fratello’s, Lyons’ Den Restaurant, and Tavern 27. Also, those who donated their services and goods: Belknap Landscape Company, Appletree Nursery, General Linen Service, Taylor Rental, and Kate Stamps. Our guests also enjoyed the wonderful entertainment provided by the Hallelujah Bell choir from the First United Methodist Church of Gilford.

Founded in 1970, the Belknap Mill Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization created to preserve and maintain the Historic Belknap Mill, an important and historic community landmark in downtown Laconia. For further information, call the Mill at 603-524-8813, email [email protected] or visit our website at www.belknapmill.org.

Thank you for this opportunity to publicly thank all those who supported this annual fundraising event.

Sincerely,

Stephen Cotter

President

Belknap Mill Society
