Barnstead Elementary School Honor Roll


The following students in Grades 4-8 at the Barnstead Elementary School have earned High Honors or Honors for the First Trimester. Students who have received A’s in all of their subjects qualify for High Honors. Those students who have earned A’s and B’s in all of their subjects qualify for Honors. In addition, students qualifying for High Honors and Honors must have received grades in effort and conduct that are average or above.

Barnstead Old Home Day Committee Meeting
Start the New Year off Right.  Happy New Year!


Is your New Year resolution to get more involved with town events?  This is a perfect opportunity to complete one of your resolutions!  Join our Barnstead Old Home Day Committee.  Meet fellow town members, make new friends, become part of the community, fulfill your resolution and get involved!


What was your favorite OHD activity:  the canoe race, the fireworks, the road race, or one of the many others?  It is not too late to join and become a part of planning the Event.  Don’t let Old Home Day 2011 suffer the same fate as 2010.


The next meeting for the New Year is Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Town Hall at 6:30 p.m.  Come be a part of the fun!

 Obituaries


 

Kendall C. Graffam, Jr.


Barnstead – Kendall C. Graffam, Jr., 40, of Dalton Drive, died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at the Concord Hospital after a sudden illness.


Born in Portland, ME on September 4, 1970, Kendall lived in Dracut, MA and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.  He and his family had been residents of Barnstead for the past 7 years.


He worked as a Licensed Nursing Assistant for the Rockingham Nursing Home and coached youth soccer in Barnstead.


Kendall is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean (White) Graffam of Barnstead; 4 children, Kayla, Emma, Hannah, and Kendall III; his parents, Kendall Graffam, Sr. of So. Portland, Me, and Kathy (Johnson) Graffam of Dracut, MA; brothers, Richard Graffam of Marlboro, MA, and James Graffam of Dracut, MA; and nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 40 Hidden Springs Road, Alton.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to the Graffam Children’s College Fund, c/o Bank of America, 118 Storrs Street, Concord, NH 03301.
