Letter
I would
like to say a BIG Thank YOU to the Barnstead Police department. I read
in the Suncook Sun that the police have been looking into animal
complaints. Believe me, there is nothing worse than listening to a dog
barking all day and night for hours on end while the owner is away or
just doesn’t care. Noise travels far and a community deserves peace and
quiet! A barking dog or dogs creates a public nuisance. If anyone has a
barking dog problem I encourage you to call the police and get it taken
care of so you are not driven crazy, day after day, with the howling.
Again Thank YOU Barnstead Police for keeping things under control and
letting me enjoy the peace and quiet of our beautiful lakeside
community.

Summer Sunday School
Looking
for something to do with your family this summer? Something fun,
life-changing and free! Join us this summer at the Center Barnstead
Christian Church for our Summer Sunday School. Our program will
begin on Sunday, July 12th at 10:15 AM, and will continue throughout the
summer every Sunday morning from 10:15 AM-11:00 AM until August 30th.
There
will be two classes offered during this time. The first one is for kids
ages 4 through the 6th grade. This class will be taught by Dawn Trask
(our Sunday School program director). The theme will be: “The Journey of
Faith.“ During this time the kids will be learning about heroes of the
faith from Hebrews chapter 11. There will be a story time, activities
and crafts for the kids to be involved with. A nursery will be provided
for children younger than 4 years old.
The
other class will be for the teens and adults taught by Sam McKeen,
Forrrest Young and Pastor Brian Gower. This class will be going through
the book, The Church of Irresistible Influence by Robert Lewis. The
intent of this class is to help the church reconnect with the needs
within our local community. Some of the ways this class will reach out
into our community is by offering Dave Ramsey’s classes on finances, a
divorce recovery worship, after school programs for the children at the
Barnstead Elementary School as well as mentoring programs. If you can
use help in any of these areas or would like to take part in helping,
then this class is for you.
Come
and bring your family this summer! For more information about our Summer
Sunday School, please call the church at 269-8831. The Center Barnstead
Christian Church is located on Route 126, next to the Town Hall.
