Graduates from Montserrat College of Art
BEVERLY, MA – Megan Ashley Leduke was one of 77 seniors who graduated from Montserrat College of Art during commencement on May 17, 2019 at the Cabot Theatre in Beverly, MA.
During commencement, keynote speaker and New York Times best-selling author/illustrator Jarrett J. Krosoczka received an Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree. Krosoczka is a two-time winner of the Children’s Choice Book Awards Third to Fourth Grade Book of the Year and has been a finalist for the prestigious Will Eisner Comic Industry Award. His Punk Farm, Lunch Lady, and Platypus Police Squad series are all currently in development for film. He is a National Book Award finalist for his most recent publication, Hey Kiddo. The Class of 2019 selected Jesse Khan to serve as the faculty speaker at commencement and Emily Fox was named student speaker.
Leduke is a resident of Northwood, NH and Candia, NH. She graduated from Coe-Brown Northwood Academy in 2015 and has now received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a concentration in Illustration. She received the Foundation Award of 2016, received the Liberal Arts Award at this year’s Commencement, graduated with Highest Honors, and was named a Student Leader at the Montserrat Leadership Summit of 2019. She is the daughter of Deborah Gravel of Candia, NH and Edgar Leduke of Northwood, NH. Following commencement, she intends to continue to pursue illustration and earn her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Fiction Writing at Pine Manor College.
